Starting a uSBO Campaign for Your Client
Onboarding a client for uSBO is managed through the Umbrella dashboard. Purchasing keywords is integrated into this process.
Steps for Onboarding:
Navigate to Contacts: Access the Umbrella Dashboard and go to the "Contacts" section.
Select or Add Client: Choose an existing client contact or create a new one.
Add Product: Within the client's profile, click on "Add a Product."
Choose Search Box Optimization : Select the "Search Box Optimization" service.
Complete the Onboarding Sequence: Follow the step-by-step instructions presented, which will include:
Set Markup: Define the markup percentage you wish to apply over the wholesale cost. (Set to 0% if you intend to bill the client directly outside of Umbrella).
Define Keywords & Tag Phrase: Enter the target "Keyword Phrase(s)" (e.g., "Best Dentist Atlanta"). The crucial "Tag Phrase" must be the client's business name (ideally matching their Google Business Profile name; shorten logically if necessary due to character limits - See Character Limit section).
Provide Client Information: Enter essential details like Company Name, Contact Person (Name, Title, Phone, Email), Website URL, and Legal/Mailing Address.
Assess Online Presence: Before finalizing, it's vital to search for the client's full company name on Bing and Google. Ensure their online presence (website quality, reviews, listings on key sites like Bing Places, Facebook, LinkedIn) is acceptable. A weak presence can negatively impact SBO results even if the keyword ranks in autosuggest. Consider recommending complementary services like uEverywhere (Yext listings) or Review Management if needed.
Upload Agreement: Add the signed client agreement document in the designated section. An updated contract template can be found in the Training Center (Onboarding, pricing and legal module).
Enter Payment Details: Provide payment information. This can be the client's credit card (if Umbrella is billing them directly based on your markup) or your own card (if you set markup to 0% and are paying wholesale). Alternatively, generate an invoice to send to the client.
Submit: Finalize the onboarding submission.
Order Review Process:
Once submitted, the order enters a review phase by the vendor (Total Front Page).
This review typically takes up to 2 business days.
After review, the project moves into the active process.
Troubleshooting: If a client remains "in review" for significantly longer than 2 business days, contact our support team by submitting a ticket through the Help widget located in the bottom right of the Umbrella dashboard for a status update and assistance.
