Adding uRank to a Client:
Create/Select Contact: Navigate to the Contacts section in your Umbrella dashboard. Either create a new contact or select an existing one. Ensure you fill in as much detail as possible (name, email, phone, company).
Add Product: Within the contact's profile, click Add a new product.
Choose uRank: Select SEO 2.0 subscription from the list (this is the internal name for the uRank service).
Follow Onboarding: Proceed through the guided onboarding sequence presented on the platform.
Setting Pricing and Markup:
During the product addition process, you'll configure the pricing shown to your client.
You'll see the wholesale costs (Umbrella's charges to you).
You can then set your desired markup (e.g., enter 100 for a 100% markup, effectively doubling the wholesale price) or input specific retail prices per ranking tier.
A common starting point is a 2x markup, but adjust based on your sales strategy, client value, and any bundled offerings or discounts.
Handling Payment Details:
Define Your Retail Price: When onboarding a client in the Umbrella system, you'll set your preferred markup percentage over the wholesale cost. This markup dictates the retail price your client will be charged.
Receive Direct Payments: The full retail payment from your client is then processed and deposited directly into your connected Stripe account. This means you receive the entire payment upfront.
Information Needed for Project Submission:
When you are ready to submit the project to the fulfillment team, you will need to provide the following details accurately:
Project Name: A clear identifier (e.g., ClientCompanyName/uRank).
Contact Name: The primary contact person at the client's business.
Company Details: Company Name and the full Website URL to be optimized.
Keywords: The list of targeted keywords (minimum 15 required).
Target Geography: Country, State/Region, and City/Cities.
GMB Account ID (Crucial for Local SEO): Google Business Profile ID. If the client doesn't know it, provide them instructions or assist via screen share. (Find it in GMB Settings -> Advanced Settings -> Copy Profile ID).
Target Audience/Industries: (If applicable) Describe their ideal customer or specific industries.
Important Site Sections: (If relevant) Note any key pages or areas of the website.
Penalty History: Indicate if the website has ever been penalized by Google.
Website Admin Access: Admin URL, Username, and Password for their website CMS (e.g., WordPress). This is required for on-page optimization.
Signed Agreement: Upload the signed service agreement with the client.
Minimum Keyword Requirement:
A minimum of 15 keywords must be included in a project submission to start a uRank campaign.
