This guide explains how to generate a "Signal Boost Campaign Analysis Report" for your prospects. This report provides a visual grid showing exactly how a business ranks for local keywords in their specific area, which helps demonstrate the value of local SEO services.
Log in to your Dashboard.
In the left-hand navigation bar, click Marketing.
From the dropdown menu, select Tools.
Locate the Signal Boost card and click Open Tool.
You will be logged in to the platform using SSO, wait a few seconds to let the platform load.
Once the tool loads, click the Quick Analysis tab in the top menu.
There are two ways to identify the business you want to analyze:
Method A: Search by Name (Easiest)
In the "Search for a business here" field, type the business name and city (e.g., "Eclipse Roofers Atlanta").
Select the correct business from the dropdown list.
The tool will automatically fill in the GMB CID (Google My Business Customer ID).
Method B: Manual CID Entry (If business isn't found)
If the business does not appear in the search bar, or if there are duplicate names, use the manual method:
Go to Google and search for the business.
Click on the Maps tab to open the business in Google Maps.
Copy the URL from your browser’s address bar.
Go to cidfinder.com.
Paste the Google Maps URL and click Get CID.
Copy the CID number provided.
Return to Signal Boost and paste the number into the Enter GMB CID field.
Click Check to confirm the tool has located the correct business.
To get the most accurate results, you should select keywords based on the business's primary Google Business Profile category (e.g., "Roofing Contractor").
It is recommended to use three variations for each primary service:
The GBP Category (e.g., Roofing Contractor)
GBP Category + "Near Me" (e.g., Roofing Contractor near me)
GBP Category + City/State (e.g., Roofing Contractor Atlanta GA)
Instructions:
Type your keyword into the Add Keywords box.
Press Enter to add it.
Repeat for primary services (e.g., Roof Repair, Roof Replacement) using the variations listed above.
Once finished, click Submit for Analysis.
Note: Select keywords carefully. High-intent keywords (like "Roof Repair") often show different ranking results than broad category keywords.
The analysis typically takes 1 to 3 minutes to complete.
After submitting, wait a few minutes and then refresh your browser page.
Click on the Quick Analysis Completed tab in the menu.
Locate your report in the list.
Hover over the three dots (...) on the right side of the row and select Edit Campaign.
Scroll down to the Campaign History section to view the results for each keyword.
Understanding the Grid:
The Pins: Each pin represents a specific geographic point (1 mile apart).
The Numbers: The number inside the pin indicates the business's ranking position on Google Maps for that specific location.
Green (1-3): The business is in the "Map Pack" (highly visible).
