How is the uEqual Widget Implemented?
Getting the automated uEqual widget running on a website is straightforward:
Once the service is activated for a client (or yourself), you will receive a small snippet of code.
This single line of code needs to be added to the client's website header or footer.
Once added, the widget becomes active and starts working automatically.
How Can I Get the uEqual Widget for My Own Website (Member Discount)?
Follow these steps within your Umbrella Dashboard:
Navigate to the Contacts section.
Add yourself as a contact, including your website details.
Go to the area for adding/managing products for that contact.
Select the Digital Accessibility Subscription (or similar uEqual product).
Choose the Annual billing option.
Select the Members' Special pricing tier.
Complete the activation process. You'll then receive the code snippet to add to your site.
What Happens if My Client Stops Paying? How Do I Cancel?
If a client ceases payment or requests cancellation, you can deactivate their widget subscription via the Umbrella Dashboard:
Go to the Contacts tab.
Select the relevant client contact.
Find the uEqual subscription management area within their profile.
Click the option to Cancel Digital Accessibility Subscription.
Confirm the cancellation.
Important: The uEqual widget will immediately stop working on the client's website once the subscription is cancelled in the dashboard.
How do the Paid Widget Tiers/Packages Differ?
The paid automated widget is offered in different package tiers (Small, Medium, Large, Huge and Managed). The main differentiator is the size of the website, typically determined by the number of pages associated with the domain.
The widget packages primarily vary based on the number of pages associated with the domain. The Umbrella Dashboard system checks the domain during setup and may alert the user if the page count exceeds the limit for a selected tier. However, existing widgets are generally not blocked if website traffic grows beyond its initial tier after setup."
"The tiers are designed to be generous. As a general guideline for visitor volume:
Small tier: Often suitable for sites with up to approximately 10,000 monthly visits/users.
Medium tier: Often suitable for sites with approximately 10,000 to 100,000 monthly visits/users.
Large tier: Can accommodate sites with up to approximately 1 million monthly visits/users.
Websites with higher traffic (e.g., 10,000-20,000+ monthly visits) or those requiring guaranteed 100% compliance and warranty often opt for the Premium Plan like Huge or Managed rather than solely relying on a tiered widget.
The company offers five accessibility packages. Four Auto AI widget plans are named Small, Medium, Large, and Huge, each covering websites up to 100, 1,000, 10,000, and 100,000 pages respectively. There is also a Managed (hybrid) plan which includes the Auto AI widget plus expert remediation. All plans include unlimited monthly visitors (pageviews). The table below summarizes each package:
Plan Website Size Allowed Monthly Visitors Allowed |
Small up to 100 pages Unlimited |
Medium up to 1,000 pages Unlimited |
Large up to 10,000 pages Unlimited |
Huge up to 100,000 pages Unlimited |
Managed Unlimited pages (custom) Unlimited |
Each of the Auto AI plans (Small through Huge) is for an AI-powered accessibility widget; the Managed plan adds fully customizable manual remediation by experts.
What is the Main Difference Between the Premium Plan and the Other Plans?
The key differences relate to the level of compliance achieved, the methods used, and the guarantees offered:
Free Widget: ~50% automated compliance, limited features.
Paid Widget (Subscription): Up to 95% automated compliance via AI, comprehensive features. Tiered pricing based on site size.
Premium Plan (Manual Remediation + Widget):
100% ADA Compliance: This is the main goal, achieved through full manual auditing and remediation by accessibility experts, in addition to using the AI widget.
Addresses Complex Issues: Fixes problems embedded in the website's code that automation alone cannot resolve.
Guarantee/Warranty: Typically includes a guarantee against accessibility lawsuits (e.g., the $1 million warranty mentioned, subject to terms).
Certification: Provides certification of full ADA compliance.
Pricing: Higher, one-time fee (starting from $10k) based on complexity.
The Premium Plan is the most comprehensive solution for businesses seeking maximum assurance, facing legal imperatives, or having complex websites requiring expert human intervention.
The uEqual service plans offer different benefits and levels of compliance:
Free Auto Remediation Widget: Provides approximately 50% ADA compliance through basic automation.
Paid Auto Remediation Widget (Subscription): Provides up to 95% ADA compliance through advanced AI automation and a comprehensive feature set.
Premium Plan (Manual Remediation + Widget): Starts from $10,000 (can range higher based on complexity) and aims for 100% ADA compliance. This plan includes a guarantee against lawsuits (like the $1 million warranty, subject to terms) and involves a full manual remediation process by accessibility experts, tailored to the client’s specific website features, in addition to the AI widget."
