After deciding on your target niche, the next step is to build a high-quality contact list. This guide will show you how to use a lead scraping tool to find and refine a list of potential clients for your automated marketing funnel.
First, define who you want to target. The tool allows you to search for companies based on industry and location.
Industry: Enter your chosen niche, such as "Personal Injury Attorney," "Dentists," or "Insurance Agency."
Country: Select the country you want to target (e.g., United States).
Location: Enter a specific city or region (e.g., "Chicago, IL"). You can also upload a list of multiple cities to search them all at once.
Next, choose what information to collect for each lead.
Emails and Contacts: This is essential. Always keep this checked.
Verify Emails: Highly recommended. This checks the validity of the emails, reducing your bounce rate and protecting your sender reputation.
Reviews and Ratings: Useful for personalized outreach (e.g., "I noticed you have great reviews on...").
SEO Data: Provides metrics like domain authority, which is great if you offer SEO services.
Advertising / Tech Stack: Lets you see if a business is already running Google Ads, Facebook Ads, or uses specific technologies like WordPress. This helps you tailor your offer.
Once your criteria are set, click Search Companies.
After the scrape is complete, navigate to the Projects tab. Here you will find a list of all your completed scrapes. Click Open to view the results.
The results are divided into two tabs:
Companies: General information about the businesses.
Contacts: A list of individual people at those companies, including their names, roles, and emails. This is the list you will use for your outreach.
To make your outreach effective, you need to contact the right people. Filter your contact list to isolate decision-makers.
In the Contacts view, click the Filter icon.
Use the "And match ANY of these conditions" section to target multiple job titles at once.
Add conditions where the Role contains keywords like:
Owner
Partner
Marketing
Operation
Business
This will filter the list down to the people most likely to be interested in your services, such as owners, partners, and marketing managers, while excluding less relevant roles like paralegals or shareholders.
Once you have filtered your list, click the Export icon to download it.
Save the file as a CSV (Comma delimited). This is the standard format for importing into most CRM and marketing automation platforms.
You now have a clean, targeted list of high-quality leads ready for your automated marketing campaigns.
